About Southdown:

Southdown is a wonderfully located community in Pearland, convenient to Highway 288  and Beltway 8 via Country Place Parkway and McHard.  The Westside Events Center is on the border of Southdown, and hosts free concerts, great playgrounds, and more!  Schools and shopping are very close and convenient, too.  There are three main parts of Southdown -- the original section built in 1982-1985, the Meadows of Southdown, built in 1994-1998, and the Oaks of Southdown, built in 1998-2001.  One more street was added in the late 1990's -- Andover -- which is home to Lennar's "Cottage" series, and is a block from the park and pool.  And best of all, it's located in the highly acclaimed Pearland School District!  You should check out this wonderful community!

The location is the best, with easy access to Highway 288 and Beltway 8, making commuting as easy as possible.  Pearland has recently added many shopping facilities, including the amazing new Pearland Town Center.  This is very accessible via FM 518 (Broadway Street) or via McHard Road to Kirby.
